God made man in His image and likeness. The plan of God for us is to rule in dominion, to subdue the earth and to overcome. This is confirmed in Gen. 1: 26 – 28 which says And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth”.

To overflow means to flow over the brim. It means to extend beyond the limits; to be very abundant or to be more than enough. All of these definitions describe our God. The Bible contains many testimonies of the God of overflow. On one occasion, God made the Red Sea to overflow (Deut. 11:4). He also made the River Jordan to overflow its banks (Joshua 3:15). As the Israelites journeyed through the wilderness God provided them quails (Ex. 16:13, Ps. 105: 40) and manna in abundance (Ex. 16:35). In II Kings 7, God performed a miracle of overflow within 24 hours

 Rehoboth means the Lord has made room for us. Rehoboth is a place of enlargement. It can also mean the Promised Land or Place of comfort. It is a place is where things are settled, where our minds are at peace. Num.23:23 says there is no enchantment against Jacob; at Rehoboth, nobody will be able to question or challenge the doing of the Lord in our lives. There is a place that the Lord has prepared for us. When we get to our Rehoboth, every dream that God has given to us will surely come pass regardless of how we may feel right now.
